Bob Stockard is an American racing driver with a long and storied career, primarily in drag racing. He is particularly known for his dedication to racing his 1965 Dodge Coronet HEMI Super Stocker for over five decades. As of late 2023, at the age of 81, Stockard continues to compete, demonstrating his enduring passion for the sport.
Growing up near Findley, Ohio, Stockard developed an early interest in fast cars. He got serious about drag racing in the late 1960s. While many racers switch cars and classes, Stockard remained committed to his '65 Dodge HEMI Coronet, campaigning it in the SS/BA category within Super Stock. He has achieved numerous NHRA and IHRA Championships and Super Stock class wins throughout his career.
In addition to his racing achievements, Stockard has also been a successful businessman, owning multiple businesses including gas stations. He balances his racing career with his work and family life, with his wife Brenda being a major supporter of his racing endeavors. He currently participates in the Buckeye Stock/Super Stock Circuit and some NHRA National Open events and Divisional Points Races.
