Tristan Nunez

Tristan Nunez is an American professional racing driver, born on October 31, 1995, in Boynton Beach, Florida. Nunez began his racing career at a young age, quickly demonstrating his talent and passion for motorsport. He secured the Skip Barber Summer Series championship in 2011, signaling the start of a promising career. In 2012, he won the Cooper Tires Prototype Lites championship and earned the prestigious Team USA Scholarship, which allowed him to compete in the Formula Ford Festival.

Nunez made history in 2013 as the youngest class winner in the Rolex Sports Car Series while driving a SpeedSource Mazda6 in the GX class. His early success led to a factory driver contract with Mazda in the United SportsCar Championship in 2014. He continued as a factory driver for Mazda Motorsports/SpeedSource in 2015, piloting the Mazda SKYACTIV diesel prototype. Beyond racing, Nunez is known for his advocacy for safe driving.

Nunez is not only a racer, but also an advocate for safe driving, founding The Dnt txt n drV Foundation to raise awareness about the dangers of texting while driving. In 2022, Tristan Nunez joined Action Express Racing, driving the No. 31 Whelen Engineering Cadillac DPi-V.R.
