Philippe Gache

Philippe Gache, born on May 31, 1962, in Avignon, France, is a versatile French racing driver with a career spanning several decades and various motorsport disciplines. While he has experience in Le Mans and Indianapolis, Gache's true passion lies in off-road racing, particularly the Dakar Rally, where he achieved a respectable 12th place finish in 2006. More recently, he has focused on preparing vehicles for other racers.

Gache's career highlights include participating in the Indianapolis 500 in 1992, driving in the Dakar Rally from 2003 to 2006 and competing seven times in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. In 2001, he won the French Porsche Carrera Cup Championship. Beyond driving, Philippe also designs cars and runs his own team, SMG, which has participated in series like the Blancpain Endurance Series and is involved in both current and historic rally cars.

In addition to his on-track activities, Gache has a successful working relationship with Carlos Sainz, teaming up to win the Rally de Espana Historico with Sainz driving a Porsche 911 prepared by Gache. Away from racing, Philippe enjoys cycling and jet skiing.
