Nicolas Schatz

Nicolas Schatz, born on July 20, 1985, is a French racing driver renowned for his dominance in hillclimb racing. Starting his motorsport journey in 2004 at the age of 19, Schatz quickly established himself in the discipline of hillclimbing. He secured his first podium finish in the French Championship in 2007 at Limonest and clinched his first scratch victory in 2008 at the Teurses d'Hébécrevon hillclimb.

Schatz's career reached new heights when he became the youngest French Hill Climb Champion in 2010 at the age of 25. Between 2010 and 2016, he consecutively won seven Championnat de France de la Montagne titles, driving Lola and Reynard single-seaters before switching to Norma prototypes. Furthermore, he earned victory at the FIA Hillclimb Masters in 2014.

In recent years, Schatz has expanded his racing endeavors beyond hillclimbing. In 2017, he ventured into endurance racing, participating in the European Le Mans Series (ELMS) in the LMP3 class. He has also competed in the Michelin Le Mans Cup and the FFSA GT4 series, demonstrating his versatility as a driver. Outside of racing, Schatz is involved in driver coaching and corporate events through his companies, Schatz Coaching and Schatz Events.
