Mikkel Kristensen Illán is a rising star in Spanish motorsport. Born in Spain, this young driver, who also has Danish heritage, has quickly made a name for himself in the racing world. Kristensen Illán began making waves in karting, with notable performances in championships such as the Rotax Max Challenge Spain in 2022 and 2023, the Campeonato Andaluz X30, and the Scirocco Series in 2021. His talent soon attracted the attention of Formula 4 teams, leading to test opportunities with TC Racing in both 2023 and 2024.

In 2024, Kristensen Illán stepped up to the Campeonato de España de GT, piloting a Ligier JS2 R. He also joined BAM Motorsport Management and made his prototype debut with Inter Europol Competition in the Asian Le Mans Series - LMP3, showcasing his adaptability across different racing categories. September 2024 saw him achieve a significant victory in the GTX category of the Iberian Supercars series at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit in Valencia, driving for Chefo Sports alongside teammate Pere Marqués. Despite mechanical issues during practice and starting from the back of the grid, they impressively fought their way to win both races.
