Jean-Sebastien Sauriol is a Canadian racing driver with over 30 years of motorsport experience. His career began in 1987 in Quebec, participating in karting, rallying, and ice racing at a regional level. After several years in competitive karting, including three years in Japan, he transitioned to open-wheel cars. He trained in Formula Fords 1600 and 2000, Formula Junior Subaru, and Formula Toyota in Japan. In 1997, Sauriol won the Jim Russell Formula 2000 Championship and earned a scholarship at Le Circuit Mont-Tremblant. This accomplishment led to races in Canadian Formula Ford and a Formula Vauxhall Jr race at Donington Park, England.
In 2001, Sauriol moved to the U.S. and lived near Sebring International Raceway for eight years. In 2010, he finished 4th at the 24 Hours of Dubai in a prototype car. He also competed in the V de V endurance series in France and Spain in 2013, driving a GT3 Mosler car. Sauriol continues to compete in endurance racing, primarily in Canada and the U.S. He has over 200 race starts, including 25 overall or class wins, multiple podiums, pole positions, and lap records.
Beyond driving, Jean-Sebastien is an experienced driver coach, chief instructor, and racing school & race team manager. He has worked with several well-known racing schools and academies, including Skip Barber Racing School, Panoz Racing School, and the Jim Russell Racing School. He is also a brand ambassador for Yokohama Tire Canada and the founder of Ice Driving Canada, a unique high-performance driving school on a frozen lake in Quebec. Sauriol's future goals include launching his own race team, mentoring new drivers, and pursuing a successful endurance sports car career, with aspirations to compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. He currently resides in St-Sauveur, Quebec.
