James Calado

James Calado, born on June 13, 1989, is a highly accomplished British professional racing driver. Calado's career began in karting in 1999, progressing to single-seaters in 2008. He quickly ascended the ranks, competing in British Formula 3, GP3 Series, and GP2 Series, showcasing his talent with multiple wins and podium finishes.

Calado has achieved significant success in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC). Driving for Ferrari - AF Corse, he secured the LMGTE Pro class title in 2017 and triumphed at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2019 and again overall in 2023. His skill in endurance racing has also led to victories in other notable events, including the 6 Hours of Spa. In 2024, he won the Rolex 24 At Daytona in the GTD PRO class with Risi Competizione.

Beyond WEC, Calado has experience in Formula E, having driven for Panasonic Jaguar Racing. He continues to be a prominent figure in the GT racing scene, participating in GT World Challenge Europe and select IMSA races. Currently, he competes in the FIA WEC Hypercar class with Ferrari – AF Corse and in select IMSA – Endurance Cup races with Triarsi Competizione.
