Esmee Hawkey

Esmee Anna Hawkey, born on March 2, 1998, is a British racing driver hailing from Chislehurst, England. Inspired by her father's racing endeavors, Hawkey began her motorsport journey at the age of ten, starting with karting. Before dedicating herself to racing, she explored ballet and tap dancing. Esmee transitioned to car racing in 2014, entering the Ginetta Junior Championship, a series known for introducing young drivers to sports car racing. After Ginetta Juniors, Hawkey progressed to GT racing in 2016, driving a Porsche Cayman GT4 and achieving second place in the UK GT Cup - GT4 class in the same year.

Hawkey's career includes participation in several Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain seasons, culminating in her Pro-Am championship title in 2020. Her success in the Porsche ranks led to her selection as one of the drivers for the inaugural W Series season. In 2021, Esmee joined the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (DTM), driving a Lamborghini Huracán GT3 Evo for T3 Motorsport. After two seasons in DTM, she became a Ginetta ambassador in 2023 and competed in the British GT Championship.

Esmee Hawkey's career also includes roles as a development driver for MB Motorsport in the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC). Beyond racing, she served as an ambassador for the Sean Edwards Foundation and Porsche Centre South London. As of 2024, Esmee appears to have transitioned away from professional racing, hosting a podcast focused on business marketing.
