Claude Bovet

Claude Bovet is a Swiss racing driver and the owner and managing director of Blackthorn Racing, a motorsport team formed in 2022. Bovet's journey into racing began in the summer of 2021 when he purchased a Ferrari racing car, fulfilling a lifelong dream. As the owner of Lionscrest, an investment management firm, Bovet has channeled his entrepreneurial success into building a world-class race team. Blackthorn Racing competes in championships across Europe, the UK, Asia/Middle East, and the USA, including the British GT Championship and the Michelin Le Mans Cup Series.

Bovet himself participates as an amateur bronze driver. In 2024 Blackthorn Racing scored numerous podium victories, including a class win in Le Mans in the "Road to Le Mans" support race at La Sarthe. In 2024, Claude Bovet switched to the new Aston Martin GT3 and competed in the British GT Championship. Bovet's team is spearheaded by Dan Jeal, Team Principal and Director, and David McDonald, Commercial Director and Pro Driver. According to Driver Database, Bovet has started in 13 races and has 2 wins and 4 podiums.
