Anthony Reid

Anthony Reid, born on May 17, 1957, is a Scottish racing driver with a career spanning over three decades. Reid's early racing endeavors were in Formula Ford and Formula 3 in the early 1980s. He achieved the position of vice-champion in the Formula Ford 2000 Trophy in both 1983 and 1984. His career highlights include a 3rd place overall finish at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1990 driving a Porsche 962C, and winning the Japanese Formula 3 Championship in 1992, defeating Jacques Villeneuve.

From 1997 to 2009, Reid was a prominent figure in the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC), securing the runner-up position twice, in 1998 with Nissan and in 2000 with Ford. Beyond BTCC, Reid's versatility is evident in his participation in various racing disciplines, including Japanese touring car and GT championships, and the FIA GT3 European Championship.

More recently, Anthony won the GTC class British GT Championship in 2011. He has also participated in historic racing events. In January 2025, Anthony received a Lifetime Achievement Award for excellence in motorsport from the St Andrews Society of California.
