Andreas Mikkelsen

Andreas Mikkelsen, born on June 22, 1989, is a highly accomplished Norwegian rally driver currently competing in the World Rally Championship (WRC) with Hyundai Shell Mobis WRT. Mikkelsen's career boasts significant achievements, including finishing third in the WRC drivers' standings for three consecutive years from 2014 to 2016.

Before reaching the pinnacle of rallying, Mikkelsen demonstrated his versatility in various motorsports. He began his WRC journey in 2006 and quickly gained recognition, becoming the youngest driver to score a WRC point in 2008. His early success led to two consecutive Intercontinental Rally Challenge (IRC) titles in 2011 and 2012. Mikkelsen joined Volkswagen Motorsport full-time in 2013 and secured his first WRC victory in 2015 at Rally Catalunya, followed by two more wins in 2016.

After Volkswagen's departure from the championship, Mikkelsen continued to showcase his talent, securing the WRC-2 title in 2021 and 2023. In addition to his WRC endeavors, Mikkelsen also claimed the European Rally Championship title in 2021. Currently, he is contributing to Hyundai's efforts in the WRC, demonstrating his determination to compete at the highest level of the sport. His current co-driver is Torstein Eriksen.
