Carlos Sainz

Carlos Sainz Jr., a Spanish racing driver born in Madrid in 1994, is a current force to be reckoned with in Formula One. Following in the footsteps of his father, a two-time World Rally Champion, Sainz Jr. carved his own path in motorsport, starting with karting in 2006. His early success included an Asia-Pacific KF3 title and a runner-up finish in the Spanish Championship.

Sainz Jr. steadily climbed the ranks of junior formulas, impressing with a championship win in Formula Renault 3.5 in 2014. This success paved the way for his debut in Formula One with Scuderia Toro Rosso in 2015. He further honed his skills with Renault from 2017 to 2018 before making a switch to McLaren in 2019. It was during his time at McLaren that Sainz Jr. secured his first podium finish in Formula One, a well-deserved third place at the 2019 Brazilian Grand Prix.

In 2021, Sainz Jr. made a significant move by joining Scuderia Ferrari. His talent truly blossomed as he secured his first Formula One victory and pole position at the 2022 British Grand Prix. This win marked a turning point in his career, and he went on to add another victory and four more pole positions, including one at the 2023 Singapore Grand Prix.

With the arrival of Lewis Hamilton at the team in 2025, Sainz Jr. is poised to leave Ferrari at the end of the 2024 season. However, his recent win at the 2024 Australian Grand Prix serves as a testament to his unwavering talent and determination.
