William Wachs is an American racing driver with experience in both open-wheel and endurance racing. He began his racing career in karting at the age of 10, achieving early success by winning the World Karting Grand Nationals in 2006. Transitioning to cars, Wachs quickly made his mark, securing the Skip Barber Formula Ford series title in 2008. He further honed his skills in the Star Mazda Championship, finishing third in 2009 and claiming the series championship in 2010.
In 2011, Wachs competed in Indy Lights with Schmidt Motorsports, highlighted by a victory at the Long Beach Grand Prix. The following year, he achieved his first GP3 win for Lotus at Barcelona. In 2013, Wachs participated in his first Indy 500, finishing 22nd, and continued his GP3 campaign with ART Grand Prix, earning a win at Valencia and several other podiums, ultimately placing third in the championship.
More recently, Wachs has been involved in American Endurance Racing. Since October 2019, he has participated in one event, completing 122 laps across four stints. His efforts have resulted in one first-place finish and two second-place finishes, demonstrating his capabilities in endurance racing.
