Stefan Wilson

Stefan Wilson, born on September 20, 1989, is a British racing driver hailing from Sheffield, UK. He is the younger brother of the late Justin Wilson, a former Formula One and IndyCar Series driver. Stefan has carved his own path in motorsports, demonstrating skill and determination across various racing disciplines. In 2007, he was recognized as a promising young talent, receiving the prestigious McLaren Autosport BRDC Award.

Wilson's career began in karting before transitioning to open-wheel racing in 2006, participating in the Formula Palmer Audi Autumn Trophy. He steadily improved, showcasing his potential with several top-six finishes. He progressed through Formula Palmer Audi and British Formula 3. In 2009, Stefan entered the Firestone Indy Lights series, demonstrating his abilities on road and street courses. He achieved a career-best finish of third place in the season opener at St. Pete in 2010.

Stefan has also participated in the IndyCar Series, with multiple starts in the Indianapolis 500. He came within three laps of winning the 2018 Indy 500. Beyond IndyCar and Indy Lights, Wilson has experience in IMSA, competing in events like the Rolex 24 at Daytona and the 12 Hours of Sebring. Stefan continues to pursue his passion for racing, actively participating in various series and events, striving for success on the track.
