Pekka Saarinen

Pekka Saarinen, born on July 27, 1983, is a Finnish racing driver and the head of PS Racing. Saarinen's career began in karting, where he demonstrated early talent by winning the Nordic ICA Junior Championship in 1997. He also secured second place in the Finnish Junior A and ICA Viking Trophy competitions in the same era. His success in karting paved the way for a transition to formula racing.

Saarinen spent five years competing in Formula Renault 2.0, achieving significant milestones. In 2005, he won the Formula Renault 2.0 Germany series while driving for SL Formula Racing. He further solidified his reputation by winning the Asian Formula Renault Challenge in both 2006 and 2007, along with the China Challenge in 2007.

Beyond his driving achievements, Pekka Saarinen is the founder and team principal of PS Racing, established in 2007. PS Racing has competed in various premier formula and GT series in Asia, providing technical support, driver development, and corporate track day activities. His team has also seen success in the Asian Formula Renault series, winning the championship in 2008 and 2011. In 2010, Saarinen himself won the HRF Roadsport V8 series. He continues to be involved in motorsports, with SnapLap reporting his current competition as the 24H Series. His career statistics include 121 starts, 28 wins, and 59 podium finishes.
