Patrick Mcclughan

Patrick McClughan, a British racing driver hailing from Newtownabbey, Northern Ireland, has steadily built his motorsport career across various racing disciplines. Born on March 18, 1996, McClughan began his racing journey in the Ginetta Junior Championship, showcasing his early talent on the track. He further honed his skills in the Radical Sprint Championship, where he achieved significant success, securing an impressive 12 wins and numerous fastest laps in the 2015 season. His achievements in the Radical series earned him the coveted Sunoco Challenge award, which provided him with a fully funded drive at Daytona.

McClughan's career progressed into prototype racing, where he joined Murphy Prototypes in the European Le Mans Series (ELMS). At the Imola circuit, he contributed to a strong driver lineup, demonstrating pace during free practice sessions. He has also participated in the Michelin Le Mans Cup and the IMSA Continental Challenge. In 2016, driving a Radical SR8 prototype sportscar, Patrick, along with his teammate John Harrison, won the final round of the Radical European Masters Championship at Jerez in Spain.
