Muytjens began his motorsport journey in karting during the mid-1990s before transitioning to car racing. Muytjens has also achieved multiple class victories at the 24 Hours of Zolder, with a notable fourth-place overall finish in 2006. Other achievements include multiple class wins at the 24 Hours of Nürburgring (2002, 2016, 2017).
