Luis Pérez Companc, born on January 2, 1972, is a versatile Argentinian racing driver with a career spanning both rallying and sports car racing. He began his rallying career in 2001, participating in the Production World Rally Championship and later winning the Argentina Rally Championship in 2005 driving a Toyota Corolla WRC. From 2001 to 2008, Companc made 25 starts in the World Rally Championship (WRC), achieving a personal best of fifth place at the 2007 Rally Japan. Other notable WRC finishes include sixth at the 2004 Rally Argentina and seventh at the 2006 Rally New Zealand. In 2007, he founded the Munchi's Ford World Rally Team.
Transitioning to sports car racing in 2008, Pérez Companc has competed in various series, including the FIA GT Championship, FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC), European Le Mans Series, and IMSA SportsCar Championship. He has achieved significant success in sports car racing, including class wins at the 2009 24 Hours of Spa, the 2013 and 2014 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, and class podiums at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2012 and 2014. More recently, he has been participating in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, driving in the LMP2 class.
Pérez Companc comes from a family deeply involved in motorsport. He is the son of Argentinian business magnate Gregorio Pérez Companc and the older brother of Pablo Pérez Companc, who also had a career in racing.
