Christophe Bouchut

Christophe Bouchut, born on September 24, 1966, is a highly accomplished French racing driver with a career spanning over three decades. Known for his versatility and success in various racing disciplines, Bouchut has secured his place as a prominent figure in motorsports.

Bouchut's career began in karting, where he clinched three French championships in the 1980s. He then transitioned to single-seaters, achieving runner-up in the 1988 French Formula Ford Championship and later winning the 1991 French Formula 3 Championship. However, it was in sports car racing that Bouchut truly excelled. In 1993, he achieved a remarkable victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans with Peugeot, marking his debut at the prestigious event. This win was followed by victories at the 24 Hours of Daytona in 1995 and the Spa 24 Hours in 2001 and 2002.

Beyond these iconic endurance races, Bouchut has amassed an impressive collection of titles, including multiple FIA GT Championships, American Le Mans Series LMP2 titles, and French championships in GT, Supertourisme, and Porsche Carrera Cup. His near graduation to Formula 1 with Larrousse in 1995 was unfortunately cut short due to the team's withdrawal. In recent years, Bouchut has been a regular competitor in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series, showcasing his continued passion for racing.
