Andre Bezuidenhout

Andre Bezuidenhout is a South African racing driver with a passion for motorsport ignited in his childhood while watching racing legends at Kyalami. While practicing law as a Barrister in Johannesburg throughout his adult life, Bezuidenhout has also cultivated an impressive amateur racing career spanning several decades. He is deeply involved in the South African motorsport community, holding positions such as the President of the National Court of Appeal of Motorsport South Africa and involvement with the Porsche Club.

Bezuidenhout is particularly renowned for his hillclimb prowess, notably at the Simola Hillclimb, which he has won multiple times, earning a reputation as a formidable competitor. He has secured six "King of the Hill" titles. In 2022, he set the Simola Hillclimb record, achieving a time of 34.161 seconds with an average speed of 200.228 km/h in his Gould GR55. He achieved his first win in 2017 with the 1989 Dallara F189 Formula 1 car. Beyond hillclimbs, Bezuidenhout also participates in other forms of racing, including the Kyalami 9 Hour race where he secured a podium finish in 2020. He has competed in a Porsche 911 GT3 R, running under the Team Perfect Circle banner, a name revitalized with the consent of David Piper.

Bezuidenhout is also a dedicated Porsche enthusiast, collecting, racing, and admiring Porsches for over 40 years. He owns a Porsche 911 T/R, affectionately known as "Frisco," which he has shipped across the world for epic tours.
