Aleksei Basov

Aleksei Basov, born on April 22, 1977, is a former Russian racing driver who has made his mark in various racing series across Russia and Europe. Basov's career began in 1995 in his native Russia, where he initially competed in rally and autocross events. He quickly transitioned to circuit racing, showcasing his talent and determination by securing wins and podium finishes in different championships. One of his early achievements was finishing as runner-up in the cross championship of Moscow Oblast. In 2005, he achieved third place in the Lada Cup Russia.

Basov's career gained momentum as he ventured into European competitions in 2007. He achieved success in the Ferrari Challenge season in 2011. The following year, 2012, he clinched the champion title in both the individual and crew standings of the Ferrari Challenge Coppa Shell. He participated in the European Le Mans Series in 2014, securing third place in the final championship standings as part of a team. Aleksei is also a current member of the SMP Racing driver program.

Throughout his career, Basov has demonstrated versatility by competing in different racing categories, including the Russian Circuit Racing Series, GT3 Le Mans Cup, FIA World Endurance Championship, and the European Le Mans Series. His achievements include multiple wins, podium finishes, and fastest laps, solidifying his reputation as a competitive and skilled racing driver. He holds an FIA Silver racing license.
