Matthew Mcmurry

Matthew McMurry, born on November 24, 1997, is an accomplished American racing driver hailing from Phoenix, Arizona. McMurry's career began at a young age, karting from age 5 to 12. McMurry's early ambition and dedication were evident when, at age twelve, he declared his goal to be the youngest driver at Le Mans for a school assignment.

McMurry achieved significant recognition early in his career. At just 16 years old, he made history by becoming the youngest driver to participate in and finish the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2014, driving the No. 42 Greaves Motorsport LMP2 Caterham Zytek-Nissan alongside Chris Dyson and Tom Kimber-Smith. Prior to Le Mans, McMurry honed his skills in various racing series, including Formula Skip Barber, U.S. F2000 Championship, Formula Bondurant, and Prototype Lites. McMurry is also a two-time IMSA Weathertech champion, securing titles in 2019 and 2020 in the LMP2 and GTD classes, respectively.

Beyond his racing achievements, McMurry is an alumnus of The Henry Samueli School of Engineering at the University of California, Irvine, demonstrating a commitment to education alongside his racing pursuits. He also serves as a test driver and vehicle dynamics engineer for Honda Performance Development's Acura LMDh program. With a solid foundation in racing and engineering, Matthew McMurry continues to make his mark in the world of motorsports.
