Gerard Van Der Horst

Gerard Van Der Horst is a Dutch racing driver who competes in various GT series. Unlike many drivers who begin karting in their youth, Van Der Horst started his racing career later in life, after pursuing a career in real estate. He owns a large real estate company based in the Netherlands with operations also in Germany. He began participating in track days in the Netherlands and Belgium before transitioning to competitive racing.

Van Der Horst has been a regular in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo series, where he has achieved considerable success. He secured five titles in the series, with three wins in 2022 alone with his own squad. Most recently, Van Der Horst has expanded his racing endeavors by joining the Fanatec GT2 European Series with his team, Van Der Horst Motorsport. The team entered a Maserati MC20 in the Am class, with Van Der Horst partnering with fellow Dutchman Jeroen Van Den Heuvel. Despite being new to the GT2 series and the Maserati car, Van Der Horst has expressed his enthusiasm for the new challenge and aims to compete for podium finishes.

Although considered a gentleman driver, Gerard van der Horst has amassed significant experience in a relatively short amount of time. He sees racing as a way to destress from his work.
