James WHARTON

James Wharton, born on July 8, 2006, is a rising Australian racing driver making waves in the world of motorsport. Currently contracted to ART Grand Prix for the 2025 FIA Formula 3 Championship, Wharton's journey began in karting at the age of eight. After dominating the Australian karting scene, he transitioned to Europe to further his career, spending four years with Parolin and competing in various continental championships.

Wharton's single-seater debut came in 2022 in the Formula 4 UAE Championship with Abu Dhabi Racing, operated by Prema Racing. He quickly made his mark, securing three victories in the first Dubai event and winning the season-ending race at Yas Marina, ultimately finishing fifth in the standings. He continued with Prema Racing in the Italian F4 and ADAC F4 championships, achieving fifth place in both series, with a notable victory at the Nürburgring. In 2023, Wharton demonstrated his talent by winning the Formula 4 UAE Championship and finishing fourth in the Italian F4 series. He also secured the runner-up position in the Euro 4 Championship.

In 2024, Wharton continued his ascent, finishing second in the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine while driving for Prema Racing. He also gained experience in FIA F3, participating in two races for Hitech Pulse-Eight. Wharton's career has been supported by his time as a member of the Ferrari Driver Academy from 2021 to 2023. For 2025, he steps up to a full-time F3 campaign with ART Grand Prix, aiming to build on his impressive junior career and chase further success on the international stage.
