Philippe Descombes is a French racing driver with a diverse career spanning various racing series, currently competing in the TCR Asia Series. Descombes began his racing journey in 1996 in the Championnat de France Formule Renault, where he secured 13th place in 1997. His career then took him to Asia, where he competed in the Formula 2000 Asia series starting in 1999.
In 2000, Descombes clinched the title in the Ericsson Formula Challenge. Continuing his success, he won the Macau Asian Formula 2000 Challenge in 2001. He further expanded his racing experience by participating in the Formula 3 Asia in 2002 and the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia in 2012. In September 2015, he joined the TCR Asia Series, driving a SEAT León Cup Racer for Asia Racing Team at the Sepang round.
