Gilles Vannelet

Gilles Vannelet, born on May 8, 1959, is a seasoned French racing driver with a diverse and successful career spanning several decades. Hailing from Paris, Vannelet has participated in numerous racing series, showcasing his talent in various disciplines of motorsport.

Vannelet's career highlights include winning the FIA GT3 European Championship in 2007 and the FIA GT3 European Cup in 2010, demonstrating his prowess in GT racing. In 2017, he was crowned the GT4 European Series Southern Cup champion in the Pro-Am category. He also secured second place in the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup Am category in 2016 and finished third in the French GT Championship in 2012. Other notable achievements include being the last winner of the Coupe de France Renault Mégane in 2000 and earning the title of vice-champion in the French FFSA GT Championship in 2007.

Throughout his career, Vannelet has regularly competed in the FFSA GT Championship and has raced in series such as the Renault Clio Cup, Porsche Cup, LMS, Ferrari Challenge, ADAC GT Masters, ELMS, and Blancpain Endurance Series. In 2012, he joined Graff Racing, further solidifying his presence in competitive racing. More recently, he has been active in the GT2 European Series, achieving multiple wins in the Am category with the Mercedes-AMG GT2.
