Egidio Perfetti, born on June 5, 1975, is a Norwegian racing driver with a diverse background. Born in Sorengo, Switzerland, to an Italian father and a Norwegian mother, he spent a significant amount of time in Asia before settling in Amsterdam, Netherlands, where the head office of his family business, Perfetti Van Melle, is located. He holds a Norwegian passport and competes under the Norwegian flag.
Perfetti's racing career began in 2010 in the Porsche Sports Cup Suisse. He then participated in the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia from 2012 to 2015. In 2015, he also made appearances in the Porsche Carrera Cup France and the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup. Progressing through the ranks, he raced a Porsche in the Michelin Le Mans Cup in 2016 while also competing in the Porsche Supercup. The following year, 2017, saw him continuing in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup and also entering races in the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany and Porsche Carrera Cup France.
His career highlights include winning the FIA World Endurance Championship in the LMGTE Am class in the 2018-2019 season with Team Project 1, driving a Porsche 911 RSR. In the same season, he secured wins at the 6 Hours of Fuji and the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans. Besides his racing endeavors, Perfetti is also a director at Perfetti Van Melle, a global confectionery and gum manufacturer, famous for brands like Mentos, which often appear on his racing cars.
