Paul Lafargue

Paul Lafargue, born on July 8, 1988, is a French racing driver who has made a name for himself in the world of endurance racing. Lafargue began his car racing career at the relatively late age of 23 in 2011,competing in the prototype class of the V de V Challenge Endurance in France. Since 2016, he has been a regular in the European Le Mans Series (ELMS) LMP2 category, driving for IDEC Sport, the team founded by his father, Patrice Lafargue.

Lafargue's career highlights include winning the 2019 European Le Mans Series championship alongside Paul-Loup Chatin and Memo Rojas. In 2014, he secured the V de V title with Ruffier Racing. He also has experience in the International GT Open, the Le Mans Cup, and various classic car races. Lafargue's consistency and speed have earned him recognition as one of the top Silver-rated drivers in ELMS.

IDEC Sport, the team with which Lafargue has deep ties, has evolved into a key player in endurance racing, achieving successes such as the 2019 ELMS title and two pole positions in LMP2 at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. In 2024, Lafargue continued to compete in ELMS with IDEC Sport, joined by Reshad de Gerus and Job van Uitert, aiming for further success in the competitive LMP2 category.
