Michael Herich

Michael Herich is a German racing driver with a diverse background in motorsport, currently competing in the Prototype Cup Germany. Born on July 13, 1977, in Brühl, Germany, Herich brings a wealth of experience to the LMP3 series. In 2025, he is slated to drive a Duqueine for Gebhardt Motorsport, partnering with young talent Alexzander Kristiansson.

Herich's passion for motorsport extends beyond the Prototype Cup Germany. In 2024, he drove a Ginetta G61-LT-P3 for Momo Gebhardt Racing in the same series. Notably, he also has experience with historic racing cars, including driving a Gebhardt JC 843 Cosworth in the Hockenheim Historic event. Earlier in his career, in 1999, Herich participated in several races with a Gebhardt G4, including events at Monza, Donington Park and Nürburgring.

Describing himself as a "calmer and more experienced driver," Herich appreciates the Prototype Cup Germany for its thoroughbred race cars, powerful engines, and the affordability of sharing a car with another driver. He is particularly fond of racing at Spa-Francorchamps and the Red Bull Ring and welcomes the series' integration with the DTM platform. He holds a FIA Bronze driver categorization.
