Michael Ammermueller

Michael Ammermüller, born on February 14, 1986, in Pocking, Germany, is a seasoned racing driver with a diverse career spanning various motorsport disciplines. His journey began in karting at the age of 10, where he quickly demonstrated his talent, leading to the European Junior title in 2000. Progressing to single-seaters, Ammermüller joined the Red Bull junior team in 2003 and competed in German Formula Renault and Formula Renault 2000 Eurocup, finishing third in the latter in 2004.

Ammermüller's career gained momentum as he moved into GP2, a stepping stone to Formula 1, with support from Red Bull. In 2007, he became a test driver for the Red Bull Racing Formula One team. He also represented Germany in the A1 Grand Prix series. His time in GP2 was unfortunately marred by an injury in 2007, disrupting his season. Later in his career, from 2012, Ammermüller found considerable success in the Porsche Supercup, securing three consecutive championship titles in 2017, 2018, and 2019. In 2014, he raced in the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland, where he finished as vice-champion.

Throughout his career, Michael Ammermüller has showcased his versatility and skill across different racing categories, from open-wheel racing to GT series. His achievements in the Porsche Supercup highlight his prowess in sports car racing, marking him as a formidable competitor.
