Matthew Halliday

Matthew Halliday, born on July 14, 1979, in Auckland, New Zealand, is a versatile racing driver with experience across various motorsport disciplines. Halliday's career began in single-seaters, competing in Formula Holden in Australia before transitioning to the United States. There, he participated in Indy Lights and Toyota Atlantic series, followed by the Infiniti Pro Series. He also achieved notable results in A1 Grand Prix, securing a 3rd and 4th place in the inaugural races at Brands Hatch for A1 Team New Zealand.

Halliday has been a consistent presence in Carrera Cup racing in New Zealand, with occasional appearances in the Australian Carrera Cup Championship and Porsche Supercup. He also drove in the Australian V8 Supercars as an endurance driver from 2004 to 2013. In 2007, Halliday briefly competed in the Champ Car World Series for Conquest Racing. After some time as a car tester, he returned to full-time racing.

More recently, Halliday has been involved in GT racing, including the FIA GT and Blancpain endurance series. In 2014, he focused on V8 endurance races in Australia. He later raced in the IMSA Continental Tyre Sportscar Challenge series in America in 2017. Currently, Halliday is involved in his family's kart track and driver management business, while also working as a driver coach.
