Marie Iwaoka

Marie Iwaoka is a Japanese racing driver with a diverse background in motorsports. Born on March 5, 1993, in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, Iwaoka's journey into racing began at a young age, inspired by her father's passion for motorsports. She holds an international B license.

Iwaoka's career highlights include participating in the Party Race series, where she secured second place in the North Japan series and won the Rookie Award in the West Japan series in 2016. She also has experience in the Super Taikyu series, including participating in the Fuji 24 Hours race, and the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing 86/BRZ Race. In 2022, she began competing in the Kyojo Cup. In 2018, she participated in the Asian Le Mans Series Championship. In the 2018 Super Taikyu Series, she was part of an all-female team, "Love Drive Racing," driving a Mazda Roadster. The team competed in the entire season, including the 24-hour race at Fuji. As of 2025, she is listed as driving car #33 for Fukuda Racing in the Kyojo Cup.

Before racing, Iwaoka was a gymnastics instructor, showcasing her athleticism and discipline. She can perform back handsprings and somersaults. Her dream is to win a race and perform a backflip on the podium. Iwaoka aims to be a role model and inspire others, especially encouraging interest in driving and promoting safe driving habits.
