Leevi Vappula

Leevi Vappula is a Finnish racing driver born on March 27, 2006, in Nokia, Finland. At 17 years old, Vappula has already made a name for himself in the world of motorsports, showcasing his talent in various racing series. Vappula began his racing journey at the young age of 5, initially testing a karting car intended for his older sister. From that moment, he was hooked, and his career began to take shape within the Monako FK karting club.

In 2022, Vappula competed in the Formula Academy Finland, a first-generation Formula 4 championship in Finland. He led the series after the opening event at Kemora, demonstrating his potential in single-seater racing. During the 2023 season, Vappula participated in the Prototype Cup Germany, driving an LMP3 car for Koiranen Kemppi Motorsport. This series primarily races in Germany and the Netherlands, where he drove a Duqueine M30 - D08 powered by a Nissan 5-liter V8 engine, producing 480 horsepower with a top speed limited to 290 km/h.

Outside of racing, Vappula maintains a rigorous training schedule to stay in peak physical condition. He balances his racing career with studies in electrical engineering and combined high school studies. To support his racing endeavors, Vappula also works part-time, including shifts at McDonald's and even selling firewood during the winter.
