Laura Van den hengel

Laura van den Hengel is a Dutch racing driver making her mark in the world of GT competition. At 33 years old (as of March 2025), Laura's motorsport journey began with karting, but took a six-year hiatus before she returned to racing in 2018. She quickly progressed, making her GT debut in 2023 in the European GT Open Cup driving a Porsche.

In 2024, Laura completed her first full season in the European GT Open Cup. Driving a Ferrari 488 Challenge for Mertel Motorsport alongside Alba Vazquez, the all-female duo secured multiple top-10 finishes and achieved several top-3 qualifying results. Notably, they achieved their best result of the season with a fourth place in the AM class at Circuit de Catalunya-Barcelona. In 2025, van den Hengel continues to race in the European GT Open Cup with Porsche, aiming to build on her early success in GT racing and establish herself as a formidable competitor in endurance racing. She is also currently supported by Iron Dames.

Van den Hengel is competing in the Michelin 12H Mugello in March 2025, driving a Ferrari 296 GT3 for Era Motorsport.
