Andrew Watson

Andrew Watson, born on January 21, 1995, is a British racing driver hailing from Northern Ireland. Watson began his motor racing journey early, at the age of 15, in the Ginetta Junior Ireland Championship, achieving regular podiums. Progressing through the ranks, he competed in various Ginetta series before transitioning to GT racing. He has participated in prestigious events such as the FIA World Endurance Championship, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, GT World Challenge Europe, and British GT, showcasing his versatility and skill across different racing formats.

Throughout his career, Watson has demonstrated his prowess in sports car and endurance racing, becoming a former Aston Martin Racing junior. He achieved significant milestones in the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup, including pole positions and podium finishes. In the FIA World Endurance Championship, he secured a podium in Bahrain driving a Porsche 911 RSR.

In 2023, Watson made a notable switch to touring car racing, joining the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) with CarStore Power Maxed Racing. His debut season was marked by success, as he clinched the Jack Sears Trophy, awarded to the top-performing rookie. Building on this momentum, he joined TOYOTA GAZOO Racing UK in 2024, driving a Toyota Corolla GR and is aiming to further establish himself as a key contender in the BTCC.
