Ander Vilarino

Ander Vilariño Facal, born on November 6, 1979, in Hondarribia, Spain, is a highly accomplished Spanish auto racing driver. Vilariño's career began in karting in 1990, transitioning to Formula Renault Campus in 1996. He is the son of Andrés Vilariño, a former FIA European Hill Climb Champion. Ander has demonstrated versatility across various racing disciplines, achieving success in single-seaters, hill climbs, and endurance racing.

Vilariño is best known for his dominance in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series. Between 2012 and 2015, he secured three championship titles (2012, 2013, and 2015) and amassed 22 race wins, making him one of the most successful drivers in the series' history. He drove the No. 22 Chevrolet Camaro for DF1 Racing and previously for TFT Racing. Beyond NASCAR, Vilariño has claimed titles in the Spanish Formula Super Toyota Championship (2000), the Spanish Formula 3 Championship (2001), and the V de V Proto Endurance Challenge (2016, 2017).

After initially retiring from full-time competition due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Vilariño made a final appearance in the 2020 season finale. His career is marked by consistent success and adaptability, solidifying his place as a prominent figure in Spanish and European motorsport.
