Robert Józef Kubica, born on December 7, 1984, is a Polish racing and rally driver, celebrated as the only Polish driver to have competed in Formula One. Currently, he showcases his talent in the FIA World Endurance Championship with AF Corse. Kubica's journey in motorsports is marked by resilience and determination. He made his Formula One debut in 2006 and secured his maiden victory at the 2008 Canadian Grand Prix with BMW Sauber, a historic win for both Kubica and the Sauber team. That same season, he briefly led the championship standings, ultimately finishing fourth overall, his best career result.

His career faced a major setback in early 2011 when a serious rally crash resulted in significant injuries, including a partial amputation of his forearm. This interrupted what was a promising career, including a confirmed pre-contract with Ferrari for the 2012 season. However, Kubica's determination saw him return to Formula One as a test and reserve driver for Williams in 2018, eventually securing a race seat with the team in 2019. After a year with Williams, he transitioned to Alfa Romeo as a test and reserve driver.

Beyond Formula One, Kubica has also demonstrated his skills in rallying, winning the WRC-2 title in 2013. More recently, he has found success in endurance racing, clinching the 2023 FIA World Endurance Championship in the LMP2 class with WRT. His diverse racing portfolio and his remarkable comeback from injury have cemented his place as a respected and admired figure in motorsport. As of March 2025, he continues to compete in the FIA World Endurance Championship with AF Corse.
