Aperçu du Pilote
Jesse Kurki-Suonio, more commonly known as Jesse Krohn, is a Finnish professional racing driver born on September 3, 1990. Hailing from a motorsport-centric family in Nurmijärvi, Finland, his passion for racing was ignited early. His father, Pertti Kurki-Suonio, competed in the Finnish Formula Ford championship alongside future Formula One stars Mika Häkkinen and Mika Salo. Jesse wasn't the only one to inherit the racing gene; his sister Jenni and brother Oskari also compete in motorsport within Finland.
Krohn's career began in karts at the age of six, spending nine years honing his skills before transitioning to car racing in 2005. He tasted early success, winning the Finnish, Northern European Zone (NEZ), and Estonian Formula Renault championships in 2008. In 2014, he was accepted into the BMW Motorsport Junior Programme, training for three years. This culminated in being promoted to a BMW works driver in 2018.
Since then, Kurki-Suonio has achieved significant milestones, including winning the 2017-18 Asian Le Mans Series GT Drivers title and the GTLM class at the 2020 Daytona 24 Hours. He currently competes in the IMSA SportsCar Championship for BMW M Team RLL.
