Graham David Johnson

Graham David Johnson is a British racing driver with a career spanning various motorsports disciplines. Born on May 10, 1974, Johnson initially made his mark in motoring journalism before transitioning to competitive racing relatively late, starting with karting at age 28. He quickly rose through the ranks, achieving significant success in Caterhams, including eight race wins, 20 podium finishes, and two third-place Championship titles by 2006. Over the next four years, he broadened his racing experience in series such as the Ginetta G40 Challenge and Britcar, adding four more wins and numerous podiums to his resume.

In 2015, Johnson entered the British GT Championship with Optimum Motorsport, driving a Ginetta G55. His debut season was impressive, marked by a race win, three podiums, and a Vice Champion title. The following year, he secured the British GT4 Championship title with three victories, two pole positions, and three additional podium finishes. Continuing his GT racing endeavors, Johnson transitioned to a McLaren 570S in 2017, achieving further success, including the Pro-Am Championship and Vice Champion titles in subsequent years.

Johnson retired from competitive racing in 2020 and has since focused on mentoring aspiring drivers as an instructor at Goodwood, utilizing his extensive experience to help others hone their skills on the track and in racing simulators. He remains the most successful driver in British GT4 history, a testament to his skill and dedication.
