Steijn Schothorst

Steijn Schothorst, born on October 14, 1994, is a Dutch racing driver with a career spanning various motorsport disciplines. Hailing from Blaricum, Netherlands, racing runs in his blood, as his father, Jeroen, and brothers, Pieter and Freek, along with his nephew Bas Schothorst, are all active in Dutch motorsport.

Schothorst's early career saw him excel in karting, finishing second in the Dutch Karting Championship in 2009. In 2010, he was inducted into the KNAF Talent First program. He transitioned to open-wheel racing in 2011, achieving third place in the Formula Ford EuroCup and second at the Formula Ford Festival. In 2012, he secured fifth place in the Formula Renault 2.0 Northern European Cup with Manor Motorsport and also participated in the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup. A notable stint in the Toyota Racing Series in 2013 saw him finish fourth overall, even winning a race at Manfeild.

Later in his career, Schothorst ventured into sports car racing. He finished second in the 2015 Renault Sport Trophy Elite class. In 2016, he debuted in the GP3 Series with Campos Racing, achieving two fifth-place finishes and ending the season as the highest-ranked Campos driver. In 2017, he returned to GP3 with Arden Motorsport. He has also competed in the GT World Challenge Europe, achieving a first-place finish in his debut weekend at Zolder. Throughout his career, Steijn has demonstrated versatility and skill across different racing categories.
