Philip Tang

Philip Tang is a racing driver hailing from Hong Kong S.A.R. While information on his early career is limited, he has been actively involved in GT racing, particularly in Asia. Tang has participated in series such as the Super Taikyu Series in Japan, where he drove an Audi R8 LMS GT3 for X Works Racing (formerly Phoenix Racing Asia). In 2019, he teamed up with Tse Ka Hing and Shinya Sean Michimi in the Super Taikyu Series.

Tang has also competed in the GT World Challenge Asia. In 2020, he joined X Works full-time in the GT World Challenge Asia Series, driving a latest-specification Audi R8 LMS GT3. Before that, he participated in a one-off GT World Challenge Asia race at Fuji, driving an older-generation Audi R8 with Shaun Thong. Together, they also secured a Super Taikyu victory at Motegi in September of the same year. Tang expressed his enthusiasm for focusing on a GT-only championship, transitioning from multi-category racing.
