Masami Kageyama, born on May 2, 1967, is a Japanese racing driver hailing from Kanagawa Prefecture. He is the younger brother of Masahiko Kageyama, who also enjoyed a successful career in motorsports.
Kageyama's career began with a victory in the inaugural 1990 Formula Toyota championship. Progressing through the ranks, he competed in the All-Japan Formula Three Championship, securing a fourth-place finish in 1991 with one win. In 1992, he fully committed to touring car racing, participating in the All Japan Touring Car Championship Class 3 driving a Honda Civic.
Kageyama's career highlights include finishing second in the 1997 JGTC-GT500 driving a Toyota Supra and a tenth place finish in the 1998 24 Hours of Le Mans. He was also the JGTC-GT500 champion in 1998 while driving a factory Nissan Skyline GT-R. Throughout his career, Kageyama has participated in 314 races, achieving 22 wins, 66 podium finishes, 13 pole positions, and 8 fastest laps. As of today, he continues to be involved in racing, currently competing in the Super GT Series.
