Jim Ka To

Jim Ka To, born on November 28, 1984, is a Hong Kong racing driver with a diverse motorsport background. The son of Hong Kong street car racer Jim Chong Shing, Jim Ka To began his racing journey at a young age at the Zhuhai International Circuit. Early promise in the China Formula Campus series led to a training stint at La Filière in France, courtesy of Formula Racing Developments. At 16, he secured pole position in the Asian Formula 2000 race in Macau.

Ka To's career includes participation in the 2001 Formula Renault 2000 Eurocup and the China Touring Car Championship. In 2004, he finished second in the Asian Formula Renault Championship and earned pole position at the Macau Formula Renault race, ahead of notable drivers. In 2008, he was the Asian Formula Renault Challenge Champion. More recently, he has been seen competing in the World Touring Car Cup.

Beyond racing achievements, Jim Ka To's career has faced challenges, including a conviction for careless driving in 2010 and an assault case in 2008, which led to a prison sentence, though he was later released on appeal. Despite these setbacks, he has maintained a presence in the racing world, showcasing his skills in touring cars and various other racing formats.
