Darren Leung

Darren Leung, born on September 25, 1987, is a British racing driver who has rapidly ascended in the world of motorsport. Despite beginning his racing career relatively late in 2021, Leung has quickly proven his talent and determination, securing notable achievements in a short span of time. In 2023, he clinched the British GT Championship in the GT3 category alongside teammate Dan Harper, driving for Century Motorsport. This victory was followed by another significant accomplishment in 2024 when he won the GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup - Bronze Cup, again with Harper.

Leung's motorsport journey began in the Ginetta GT Academy's rookie class, where he drove a Ginetta G56 for Want2Race. He showcased his potential by achieving ten podium finishes in fifteen races and finishing second in the championship. He further honed his skills in the Ginetta GT4 Supercup, achieving podium finishes at both Donington Park and Brands Hatch as a guest driver for Asselto Motorsport. In 2022, he competed full-time in the Ginetta GT4 Supercup, securing thirteen wins but ultimately finishing second in the standings due to several retirements. That same year, he made his debut in the British GT Championship, winning the GT3 class race at Donington Park with Alexander Sims.

In 2024, Leung expanded his racing endeavors to the international stage, participating in the Asian Le Mans Series with Team Project 1 and making his debut in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) with Team WRT. He secured his first WEC win at the 6 Hours of Imola and achieved a commendable second-place finish at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Looking ahead, Leung is set to join United Autosports in 2025, driving a McLaren 720S GT3 EVO in the FIA World Endurance Championship, marking another exciting chapter in his burgeoning racing career.
