Angel Benitez

Angel Andres Benitez Jr., born on May 13, 1989, is a Venezuelan racing driver hailing from Valencia. From a young age, he was immersed in the world of motorsports, influenced by his father, Angel Benitez Sr., and grandfather, both of whom had racing backgrounds. This early exposure fueled his passion, leading him to begin his racing career in Venezuela.

Benitez's career progressed rapidly, leading him to the United States, where he competed in various series. He gained prominence in the IMSA GT3 Cup Challenge, where he secured the Gold Cup Championship in 2012 and finished third in the Platinum Cup in both 2013 and 2014. His talent and determination led to 17 victories in the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge USA series. In 2015, he stepped up to the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo North America series with Avid Motorsports.

Beyond racing, Benitez has also shown entrepreneurial spirit. He resides in Miami during the racing season and, at one point, launched a fast-casual restaurant called Burbowl, known for its "burger in a bowl" concept. This venture saw success, expanding to multiple locations and creating job opportunities in the Miami area. He participated in the Porsche Young Drivers Academy.
