Tomas Mejia

Tomas Mejia is an American racing driver who began his racing career in karting at the age of 5 in Danville, California. He found success in SKUSA and routinely finished on the podium. After taking second place at the SKUSA SuperNationals in Las Vegas with a field of 90 karts. Mejia transitioned to racing with NASA (National Auto Sport Association) at the age of 15, competing in the highly competitive Spec Miata class. Despite initial nerves, he quickly gained confidence racing door-to-door.

Mejia balances his racing career with his education, attending community college in Southern California while competing in NASA's NorCal Region. This requires a significant commitment, as he travels from Southern California to Northern California for testing and races, often leaving after his last class on Thursday and returning for classes on Monday. Currently, he is part of the youth movement looking to make their mark on the track and in NASA’s Teen Mazda Challenge.

Mejia is known for his serious and calculated approach to racing. He studies data and video to analyze different lines and strategies for corners, aiming to get out front as quickly as possible. According to a fellow racer, Mejia is friendly off the track but focused and determined when racing, known for his patience and smart decision-making. As of 2022, he was in third place in the 71-car Spec Miata class for the NorCal Region.
