Oswaldo "Ozz" Negri Jr., born on May 29, 1964, is a Brazilian racing driver with a long and varied career, primarily based in North American sports car racing. Although Brazilian, he resides in Aventura, Florida.
Negri's career began in karting, where he secured multiple Brazilian championship titles. He transitioned to car racing in 1986, competing in Formula Ford before venturing into European Formula 3. After a period in Europe, he returned to South America, winning the Brazilian Formula 3 Championship in 1990. He further honed his skills in Mexican Formula 3 and Indy Lights, securing the Indy Lights Panamericana title in 1998.
His career took a turn towards sports car racing in 2003 when he joined the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series. He became a mainstay with Michael Shank Racing starting in 2004. A significant highlight of his career came in 2012 when he won the 24 Hours of Daytona with Michael Shank Racing. Throughout his career in the American Le Mans Series, Grand-Am, and IMSA, Negri has accumulated wins, podium finishes, and a reputation as a consistent and reliable driver. In addition to his racing achievements, Negri is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and English and enjoys water skiing, go-karting, reading and music.
