Niels Tröger is a German racing driver born on September 2, 2002, in Dresden. Hailing from Großfriesen, Plauen, Sachsen, the young driver has been making his mark in the world of motorsport. In 2023, Tröger achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first German karting world champion in 43 years, a feat last accomplished by Bernd Schneider in 1980. This victory places him in an elite group, as only Max Verstappen has also managed to secure both the karting world championship and a Formula 1 world championship.
Tröger's karting success was fueled by his performance, with support from his mechanic Marc Feilen and the SRP Maranello Factory Team. Currently, he competes in the ADAC GT4 Germany series, driving a BMW M4 GT4 G82. As of late 2024, he has started in 12 races in the ADAC GT4 Germany series but is yet to achieve a podium finish.
