Nicolas Rondet

Nicolas Rondet, while often identified as French, has spent a significant portion of his racing career in the United States, making him a notable figure in American motorsports. Born in France on March 9, 1970, Rondet's early exposure to racing came in Brazil, where he grew up and began karting. He transitioned to single-seaters and touring cars, even winning the French Citroën AX Cup in 1993. Soon after, Rondet crossed the Atlantic to compete in the Skip Barber Western Series in the United States. His talent quickly shone through as he secured the championship title and the Skip Barber Big Scholarship in his second season in 1996.

This success propelled him into the Barber Dodge Pro Series in 1997. Rondet continued to impress, earning a race win and two additional podium finishes. He followed this with three more podiums the following year, even with missing a few races. 1998 also marked his debut in the Atlantic Championship, with a notable seventh-place finish in Houston. He also participated in one IMSA GT Championship race. In 2001, Rondet made a comeback to the Barber Dodge Pro Series. This season proved to be a defining moment, as he consistently finished in the top 10, claiming three race victories and ultimately securing the series championship.

Winning the Barber Dodge Pro Series title earned Rondet a scholarship for the 2002 Atlantic Championship season. While he only managed two top-10 finishes, his earlier success cemented his reputation as a skilled and determined driver. More recently, between 2016 and 2019, Rondet has been seen racing Ligier JS P3 cars in various events, showcasing his continued passion for motorsports. Although results may not fully reflect it, Nicolas has participated in twenty events, including two official tests.
