Mark hamilton Peters

Mark Hamilton Peters, often known as "MHP" to those in racing circles, is a seasoned American racing driver with over three decades of professional experience. While details of his early career are scarce, Peters has established himself as a versatile competitor in various racing disciplines. He has participated in American Endurance Racing (AER) events since at least 2018, showcasing his skill behind the wheel of a 2014 Ferrari 458 Challenge, #512.

Peters has achieved considerable success in AER, racking up an impressive eight first-place finishes and six second-place finishes, totaling 14 podiums in only 5 events. He has completed 691 laps across 42 stints. Beyond AER, MHP has demonstrated his capabilities in historic racing. In 2009, at the Shell Historics at New Jersey Motorsports Park, he qualified on pole and won both Drum Brake races while driving Jon Shirley's 250 TR prototype. More recently, in 2024, he won Race 1 at the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion in the Osborne family's 1959 Rejo Mk IV.

Known as a "gentleman racer," Peters is respected for his driving expertise and sportsmanship. He has also worked as a driving instructor and coach, sharing his knowledge with other drivers. His experience extends to driving for Ferrari, and he is known for his sartorial elegance, once noted for sporting tweed over his racesuit. Peters is currently categorized as an FIA Bronze driver.
